Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka is an American-British sitarist and musician. She was first of her generation to be awarded an award from the British House of Commons Staff. Anoushka Shankar is an emerging young star of sitar music. Indian sitar. She is the student of Ravi Shankar, and the daughter of Ravi Shankar. Born in London, she spent the beginning of her career traveling between London as well as New Delhi. At the age of 13, she gave her debut performance in New Delhi. After that, she relocated into Encinitas CA, where she received the High School diploma with honors in 1999. Even though she's very young Anouskha is a star in her performing and recording career. Her father has been with her to numerous performances over several years. She released her debut self-titled album Anourag in 1998. The Grammy Award-winning live at Carnegie Hall was released two years following her debut solo album. Apart from performing in all of the largest venues and venues, she also has an extensive stage presence. Anoushka Shankar's career is not limited to performing in music. In the end, The House of Commons Shield was presented an award from the British Parliament in recognition of being the pre-eminent Asian Arts musician. She is the only female and the youngest winner of this distinction.
