Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman is Distinguished Professor of Psychology and director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. She is widely known for her pioneering modern research of children's memory as eyewitnesses and the use of child victims in court settings. Professor Goodman's publications are extensive She has also received a number of grants and is the recipient of many awards at both national and internationally. She has provided advice on policy and research for numerous government agencies and departments around the globe. She is a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She's a member of a variety of professional organizations that include Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman belongs to the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a founding member of the International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as president of the The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Child and Family Policies and Practice.
